Blackjack Variety
You're that type: every time you enter a casino, you head straight for the Blackjack tables. And you always play the same game: regular old Blackjack. Vegas Strip Blackjack
The list of basic Vegas Strip Blackjack rules is as follows:
- The dealer is allowed to look at any 10 cards or Aces
- The game is played with 4 52-card decks
- The dealer must stand on any hand equalling 17
- The player may do a double down on any two cards
- There may be a double down after a split
- The player may split 3 times to get 4 separate hands
- Aces may only be split once
- The player may only use one card to split an Ace
- Split Ace + 10 = 21 instead of a blackjack hand
- Value cards, rather than 10 cards, may be used in splitting
Requiring the dealer to stand on any hand equaling 17 improves the player's odds of winning slightly, so it is actually in your favor to play Vegas Strip Blackjack. It is a game which can change from second to second depending on the cards dealt to the player and the dealer, so most casinos encourage that you learn the basic strategies of the game before you begin to play, and most casinos will offer the player a strategy card to study before beginning the game, or perhaps during play. The same is true of online casinos offering Vegas Strip Blackjack - and at an online casino, the player has the advantage of selecting auto play, allowing the game to play itself and watching and learning as it goes.
